From the town center, you’ll notice the bronze nails engraved with a cheerful unicorn. This “town path” takes you straight to the ruins of Gavray’s ducal castle, an archaeological site perched atop the rocky spur overlooking the commune. At the top, you’ll have the pleasure of admiring the surrounding countryside, as you find your way around the orientation tables, the colors changing with the seasons. You’ll also find a number of interpretation panels to help you find out more about the castle that once stood here. From the top of the site, other nails will show you other paths for nature walks: the round path, the forest path and the river path, all marked by different imprints on the bronze nails.
